Your Complete Guide to the 2025 Australian Pickleball Championships (APC) on the Gold Coast!

  • The countdown is on for the 🏆2025 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships, the biggest pickleball tournament in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • Taking place from 29 September to 6 October at the Pimpama Sports Hub on the Gold Coast, Queensland, the APC is the flagship event on the Australian pickleball calendar.

A Championship with History

Launched in 2018, the APC has quickly become the pinnacle of pickleball in Australia. Despite cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the tournament has surged in popularity, with this year attracting more than 1,200 players, all vying to take home THE Australia’s most prestigious pickleball title. 

Who Can Enter

The APC is open to everyone – homegrown Australians and international players alike. Competitors can enter up to five events, spanning:

  •      Singles and Doubles
  •      Mixed Doubles
  •      Pro and Senior Pro Divisions (based on DUPR rating and wildcards)
  •      Age and Skill Brackets (from juniors to 80+)
  •      Inclusive Divisions for para-athletes, players with intellectual disabilities, and deaf or hard-of-hearing competitors.

This inclusive structure ensures that every pickleball enthusiast - from beginners to professionals - has a chance to play on the national stage.

What’s New in 2025

 The 2025 Championships raise the bar with:

  •     $30,000 prize pool for Pro and Senior Pro divisions
  •      230+ competitive events across all levels
  •      56 dedicated courts, including two broadcast-quality show courts
  •      Festival atmosphere with live entertainment, food trucks, merchandise, and family-friendly spectator zones.

 

Registration and Key Dates:

Players can register in three phases:

  •        Early Bird Registration (closes 11:55pm 1st June 2025) - $80 entry fee, then $10 per event for juniors, $20 per event for amateurs and $40 per event for pro.
  •        General Registration (closes 11:55pm 25th August 2025) - $100 entry fee, then $10 per event for juniors, $20 per event for amateurs and $40 per event for pro.
  •       Late Registration (closes 11:55pm 31st August 2025) - $120 per event, then $10 per event for juniors, $20 per event for amateurs and $40 per event for pro.

Draws are published three days before play begins, with finals scheduled for 6 October.

Spectator Info: Grandstand Seating Type and Capacity:

The General Grandstands are located behind and to the left side of the show court, with a maximum of 150 individual seats in tiered grandstand structures.

VIP Grandstand Seating is café style seating over a two-tiered staging structure located to the right of show court, with a maximum of 50 seats.

All grandstand seating is covered by marquees.

Bar - The Show Court Bar will be open from 10:30am – 5:30pm daily. Entrants wishing to purchase alcohol will need to present photo ID as proof of being over the age of 18.

Players on Court Coaches and Supporters Tickets:
Each player on court will have 2 seats reserved behind their player bench for coaches and/or supporters whilst they are on the court.

Registered player and their family/friends can use the discount code APC10 to receive 10% off ticket purchases. For registered participants that have already purchased tickets at full price, we will contact you directly regarding a proportional refund.

🔥URGENT - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED🔥:

 


 

We still require further volunteers. If you or anyone you know of is able to help out, please complete the volunteer register on the APC website.
All volunteers will receive a volunteer top and go in the draw to win 1 of 3 APC Merchandise Packs including a Player top, drink bottle, cooling towel, custom coin and APC ball.

Positions include:

  • 🛎Check in desk - The first point of call - a bright and enthusiastic member to welcome and check-in players and spectators.
  • 😁Information desk - The ever-smiling ray of sunshine - issuing competitor bags to players on their first entry to the tournament as well as being the main go-to for event information.
  • 🎒Merchandise Sales - The gift of the gab - distributing pre-sales and selling of branded APC merchandise.
  • 🪠Handy person - General handyman/woman – to walk the venue ensuring that it remains clean and tidy. Checking rubbish bins and topping hand soap and toiletry supplies.
  • 🔧Bump in and out - Muscle and brains required for bump-in on Friday 26 September - Monday 29 September. Tasks include taping up courts, setting up fencing/marquees/tables/chairs, assembling nets, putting up signage, collating and making up competitors gift bags, setting up court baskets, printing out draws, setting up volunteer and referee rooms plus much more.
